EcoLube Recovery is looking for a Package Route Driver to join their team in Puyallup, Washington! Our Package Drivers drive a Class A truck over an established route to collect containerized waste, such as used oil filters, and deliver new products, such as antifreeze, at customer locations.
- Collect spent antifreeze from tanks and totes
- Assist with organizing route service events in an efficient and timely manner, including call in services
- Communicate regularly with Customer Service/Dispatch throughout the day
- Make required number of stops each day at various customer locations as scheduled to include Call-In service requests
- Load and unload containerized waste (used oil filters, used absorbents, etc)
- Inspect contents of containers to ensure all containers are properly labelled.
- Properly measure and dispense new antifreeze.
- Accurately completes all required customer and DOT paperwork.
- Inform regular customers of new products or services.
- Listens to and resolves service complaints; involve Branch Manager and/or Account Manager where appropriate
- Unloads truck at their assigned ELR facility each day
- Keeps both interior and exterior of collection truck clean and in good operating order
- Complies with all ELR safety and environmental policies.
- Complies with all standard company operating and safety procedures and protocols
- Act in a professional manner toward customers, prospective customers, vendors, and co-workers
- Other duties as assigned
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- 2 years experience driving Class A vehicles preferred
- 1-2 years route-based driving experience highly preferred
- Ability to drive manual transmission required
- Valid Class A CDL
- Tanker endorsement or willingness to obtain tanker endorsement required
- Hazardous Materials endorsement and TWIC preferred
- Basic operating knowledge of computers, including basic Office suite
- Basic math skills
- Strong customer service and problem solving skills
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing in English
- Ability to understand instructions given verbally or in writing in English
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
What are the physical requirements (with or without accommodation)?
- Must be able to meet the requirements to pass a DOT physical.
- Ability to frequently stand, walk, sit, reach, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
- Manual dexterity sufficient to drive and operate equipment.
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move more than 75lbs.

The pay range for this position is $29-$32/hr.
This position is eligible for quarterly bonuses in accordance with ELR's Driver Safety Bonus Program.
ELR offers medical, dental, and vision insurance to employees and their families with shared premiums. ELR also pays for basic life insurance for all employees. Employees are able to enroll in ELR's 401k plan the first of the month after 90 days, and employee contributions are matched up to 4% of gross income. For the first two years, ELR employees accrue 80 hours of PTO per year and receive 7 paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
EcoLube Recovery (ELR) is a Pacific Northwest owned and operated company. We have a number of satellite service locations throughout the Pacific Northwest that collect used oil and other related waste for final recycling at our re-refining plant in Portland, Oregon.
