Chesapeake Geosystems, based in Baltimore MD, has been a leading provider of geothermal energy solutions for over 30 years. We are seeking reliable OTR/ Regional Drivers to join our construction team. This position will be responsible for safely transporting construction materials and equipment to job sites, covering multiple states throughout the East Coast. Candidates with heavy-haul, flatbed and low-boy experience are preferred. Construction exp is strongly preferred. We are also open to licensed class A CDL candidates limited experience who are eager to learn and grow with our company.

Important: This is an OTR/Regional driving position, requiring overnight travel Monday through Friday. This is NOTa local or home-daily route. You will be away from home during the week and return on weekends.

The ideal candidate will:

•

Demonstrate solid knowledge of DOT and company safety standards and regulations

•

Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, including basic truck maintenance tasks

•

Communicate effectively with team for timely and professional deliveries

•

Assist with loading and unloading materials

•

Ensure safe transportation by securing loads appropriately using chains or binders

•

Perform well in high pressure situations and tight deadlines

•

Safely operate a 5 or 6 axle configuration truck

Requirements:

•

Valid Class A CDL is required

•

Construction experienceis strongly preferred.

•

Hazmat & Tanker endorsement (must have or be able to obtain)

Clean driving record: No suspensions or reckless driving in the past 3 years, and no DUI/DWI in the past 5 years*

•

DOT medical card (must have or be able to qualify for)

•

Must meet CDL vision standards, including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

•

Equipment operational skills: must be able to operate and load heavy equipment

•

Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

•

Education: High school diploma or GED preferred

Physical demands:

•

Outdoor work in all weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, dampness and humidity

•

Ability to lift, carry and move up to 80 lbs. of heavy equipment

•

Frequent physical activity, including reaching, standing, stooping, kneeling climbing

•

Extended periods of sitting while driving

Compensation & Benefits:

Pay for this position is $32-40/hr. Exact rate is dependent on experience and applicable licenses and endorsements.
