OSP INSPECTOR
The OSP Inspector is responsible for performing quality assurance checks on outside plant (OSP) construction projects, ensuring all work meets specifications and safety standards. This role involves documenting construction activities, identifying deficiencies, reviewing traffic control and PPE compliance, and coordinating with subcontractors and supervisors. It’s a great opportunity for professionals with OSP experience to play a critical role in maintaining construction quality and safety across fiber and telecom infrastructure projects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
•Perform quality checks on outside plant (OSP) construction to ensure compliance with specifications
•Identify and report unsafe actions or conditions to the crew supervisor
•Generate and maintain accurate As-Built records
•Record units placed, deviations from plans, and construction-related notes
•Identify, document, and follow up on construction deficiencies
•Make recommendations for changes in running line or construction methodologies due to knowledge of or experience in environmental conditions, construction access by crews, or congestion of utilities
•Conduct inspections and assist with investigations as needed
•Coordinate and communicate effectively with subcontractors, supervisors, and internal teams
•Perform all other duties as assigned
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
•2+ years of OSP construction inspection experience
•Familiarity with the National Electric Safety Code
•Previous experience performing NESC inspections
•Must be proficient in OSP Construction Standards
•Thorough understanding of aerial and underground construction methods
•Able to follow OSHA/State/Local Safety Standards
•The physical activity required for this role includes:
+ Travel as needed for site visits and business operations
+ site visits in a range of weather conditions, including hot and cold weather
+ Walking on uneven and variable terrain
+ Sitting, standing, walking for extended periods
+ Frequently standing, walking, stooping, reaching, climbing, bending and reaching
+ Manual dexterity for computer use, and office equipment
+ Occasionally lifting objects weighing up to 50 pounds
•Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
