The opportunity

An exciting opportunity exists in our Utilities department within the Metals division for an Operator located in Fort Saskatchewan. The purpose of this position is to manage the start-up and shutdown, monitor and safely operate circuit equipment, maintain settings and parameters, operate the control system and direct the workflow.

In this role, you will be accountable for:* Maintaining plant operations and preparing equipment for maintenance activities, including issuing permits, lockout/tag-out procedures and equipment shut down/start-up.

Skills and attributes for success:* A 3rd Class Power Engineering Certificate issued by ABSA is required.
