Essential Functions of the Job:
Reporting to the Terminal Manager this position is responsible for loading all customer trucks with bulk cement and receiving transfer loads. Responsibilities include minor maintenance, zone and pre-shift checklists, service and clean-up as needed as well as communicating with journeyman maintenance mechanic and management at the terminal in a timely manner on issues delaying timely loading of trucks.
Essential Functions:
•The ability to safely and efficiently load bulk trucks
•Safely operate equipment to move, load and unload rail cars
•Stand for long periods of time and climb flights of stairs
•Good people skills and must be able to multi-task
•Be able to operate a forklift and front-end loader
•Understand and demonstrate basic computer skills
•Understand and demonstrate use of the load out and reclaim system
•Perform basic maintenance and housekeeping duties
•Proactive approach to safety
•Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental legislation, regulations, and company policies and procedures. Report any unsafe condition, accidents or incidents to supervisor immediately.
•Maintain work areas in a clean, organized, and safe manner.
•Work with plant management to identify problems and potential problems that need to be addressed.
•Perform plant inspections and complete inspection documentation.
•May be required to work some Saturdays.
•Regular and on-time attendance.
•Perform other duties and assignments as assigned or required
•Must be able to pass TSA security requirements to obtain TWIC

Qualifications Required for the Job:
•High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
•Experience in resolving problems and dealing with difficult situations.
•Ability to understand oral and written instructions relating to maintenance and products
•Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
•Demonstrated ability to be self directed, with minimal supervision.
•Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement.
•Minimum of two years of operating experience
•Ability to work overtime and weekend shifts
•General Maintenance skills/knowledge a plus
•Forklift and Front-End loader experience.
