Must be available to work the follow schedule.
- Monday-Friday 7 AM - 3 PM. This shift is subject to change.
- Must be flexible and willing to work some overtime, weekends, and holidays.
General operation and maintenance (O&M) of the plant, pump stations, and sewers.
General facilities maintenance and preventative maintenance, including repairs to mechanical, electrical and instrumentation equipment; O&M of rotary press and associated processes, such as sludge pumping, lime stabilization, chemical conditioning, odor control scrubber, sludge handling equipment (front end loader, skid steer, dump truck, forklift, etc.); O&M of collector sewer system; O&M of GPS locating equipment; O&M of sewer televising equipment; O&M of flow metering equipment; O&M of grinder pumps; cleaning pump station wet wells and equalization storage tanks; assisting in any other sewer, pump station, and/or plant-related responsibilities that may develop during the course of the workday, including unscheduled and emergency work.
- Must have a mechanical aptitude.
- Familiarity with pumps, mechanical drives, hydraulic systems, and basic electrical systems desired.
- Must be able to read, interpret, and follow written manufacturer’s instructions and diagrams to perform preventative maintenance, basic maintenance repairs, and troubleshooting.
- Must have basic understanding of sewage collection, plumbing systems, and construction standards.
- Must be able to read and understand sewer drawings.
- Must be capable of learning how to operate and maintain rotary press and associated equipment.
- Must be able to communicate and interact with the general public.
- Must be able to work independently and make field judgments.
Valid Driver’s License and ability to pass motor vehicle background check.
- Must be available for emergency call-out and overtime 24 hours per day.
- Required to possess and maintain a driver’s license valid in the state of their residence.
- May be required to complete and maintain forms needed for a driver qualification file.
- May be required to obtain a DOT medical card.
