CNC Machining Small Lot Part Production Aerospace, Medical Device, Defense
PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
•High school diploma or equivalent
•2-year associate in engineering technology or 4-year technical certificate or equivalent
•Five (+) years’ experience operating and setting up CNC Mills and CNC Lathes
•Preferred – 1 year or more with leadership responsibilities.
SKILLS REQUIRED
•Strong written technical communication skills
•Strong interpersonal skills and accountability
•Ability to recognize operational issues before they arise
•Blueprint reading including GD&T
•Use of CNC mill (Brother and HAAS) / CNC lathe (FANUC control)
•Use of hand measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, indicators, etc)
RESPONSIBILITIES
•On shift supervisor for shop with CNC machines making small lot Aerospace, Space, Defense, and Medical Device parts
•Assigns daily tasks to on-shift team members
•Ensures daily and weekly production targets are met
•Inputs to hire, pay, and progression decisions by operations manager.
•Responsible for the flow of work through the shop during shift – operation, set-up, flowing parts through QC, flowing parts through finishing onto shipping & receiving, handover with other team leaders, ensuring ERP system is properly updated by all team members
•Assist programmers to set-up jobs on CNC machines: loading material, tool selection and fixture setup
•Assist operators in running jobs by flowing resources to work or jumping in where needed
•Verify and edit machine settings and CNC program parameters in Hypermill as needed and with assistance of programmers
•Monitor tool life, perform tool changes and recommend tool replacement as necessary
•Use precision measuring tools to verify in-process dimensions and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality standards
•Work within ISO9000 / AS9100 Quality Management System

JOB TYPE & BENEFITS
•Full-time Position with base 40-45 hours /week with overtime at 1.5x as business requires
•Second Shift (2:30-11) $26-32+/hr based on experience
