Provides advisory technical support and advice to the Shift Manager in the areas of thermal hydraulics, reactor engineering, and plant analysis with regard to the safe operation of the plant. Assists shift operations personnel to recognize, diagnose, and effectively deal with plant transients or other abnormal plant conditions.

Qualifications

The candidate's education and experience must be verified and in accordance with Regulatory Qualifications List and ACAD 10001, Guidelines for Initial Training and Qualification of Licensed Operators as described below:

+ For an RO Upgrade or Direct SRO, must meet the eligibility requirement of the current INPO ACAD 12 months or more as an ACTIVE RO at Fermi OR + 12 months or more as an ACTIVE RO or SRO at a commercial power reactor facility of the same vendor and vintage OR + 18 months or more as an ACTIVE RO or SRO at a BWR/PWR facility OR + 18 months in position equivalent to the reactor operator position at a military reactor such as:

- Reactor Operator

- Engineering Officer of the Watch / Propulsion Plant Watch Officer

- Engineering Watch Supervisor / Propulsion Plant Watch Supervisor OR
