Responsible for directing and coordinating the Engineering department and the development of company products by ensuring the products perform as designed and can be manufactured in a cost effective and efficient manner.
• Manage and coordinate the activities of staff including training, employee development, performance evaluation, hiring decisions, and the establishment of goals and performance objectives for assigned department.
• Provide continual evaluation of department processes, methods, and activities to assure the most effective use of resources and equipment.
• Direct department activities to design new products, modify existing designs and improve production techniques and technical support of existing product lines.
• Ensure department can execute commitments as scheduled.
• Ensure documentation is produced in accordance with all regulatory and contractual requirements.
• Ensure adequate resources to write, edit and produce accurate technical publications in the most cost-effective and timely manner.
• Advise management of new developments which may affect profit, schedule, costs, customer relations, and/or inter-departmental relations.
• Ensure that drawings support all documentation/product needs.
• Perform other work related tasks as assigned.
• Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.
• Manager of all aspects of the Field Engineering group to achieve group & corporate objectives.
• Ensure timely execution of projects while efficiently utilizing available resources.
• Implementing sound business strategies that deliver sustained profitability.

• Apply proactive management skills to maximize group efficiencies within budget while maintaining customer satisfaction and working according to standard processes.
• Provide financal forecasts, analysis and monthly progress reporting against goals.

• Provide leadership within the organization to ensure that personnel are aware of their responsibilities and customer expectations are satisfied.
• Build and strengthen relationships with Customers, Suppliers, Vendors and internal parties.
• Maintaining a safety first culture ensuring all activities are executed in a safe and effective manner in compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation.
• 3 years Order Management experience utilizing ERP systems, Team Center, Rig Office
• 3 years of project management and annual financial planning experience
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Inventor, ProE/Creo, or other 3D solid model software
• Cross-trained in mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, software engineering disciplines, with broad knowledge of oil & gas subsea equipment and functionality
• Experience with API and ISO certification requirements
