Job Description
IHI Power Services Corp. (IPSC) has a career opportunity for an O&M Technician I at our Aurora Generation plant in Aurora, IL. This position is an on-site role. The position will report to the Operations Manager. The pay range is between $40.00 - $45.00 per hour, depending on experience.
Job Summary
The O&M Technician I is an entry-level position and is responsible for monitoring the status of all plant systems, controlling routine plant operations, responding to alarms and abnormal conditions by taking appropriate corrective actions as directed by the Control Room Operator, and performing basic routine maintenance duties. The position will assist with plant shutdown and start-up procedures as required and ensure that the plant meets its generating requirements while operating safely and efficiently.
The O&M Technician I performs tasks in accordance with Plant Operating and Maintenance procedures and associated vendor and manufacturer technical guidelines. This position operates from established and well-known procedures, performing duties as directed, encountering recurring work situations that can be highly complex, and occasional variations from the norm.
