OPER, EXTRUSION PRESS

Market Leader in Aluminum Extrusion is seeking a press operator.

Job Requirements include:

- Performs setup of aluminum extrusion press.

- Changes dies based upon written specifications.

- Uses overhead crane to remove hot die from heated oven.

- Places die in press tool holder, ensuring that tooling is correct length.

- Operates press to pre-set standards.

- Enters die number; checks gauges to ensure automated operating system is properly controlling temperature and extrusion process.

- Performs quality checks (surface and condition); cuts samples (after every 7th billet) to check tolerances.

- Lubricates equipment; performs light preventative maintenance. Removes scraps of metal from press with chisel. Advises supervisor or Maintenance when press needs service.

- Maintains clean and orderly workplace.

- Observes safety rules and practices; reports any unsafe acts or conditions to supervisor.

- Must be able to lift 40lbs.

Must have flexible schedule and weekends are required. Valid driver’s license needed.
