Onsite Calibration Technician-TRAVEL REQUIRED

JM Test Systems is seeking a skilled and reliable Onsite Calibration Technician to perform field calibrations across a wide variety of measurement disciplines, including temperature, pressure, torque, dimensional, electrical, and RF. This role involves traveling to customer sites to perform precision calibration and testing of equipment, ensuring accuracy, safety, and compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities

- Perform onsite and occasional in-house calibration across a variety of test and measurement equipment (temperature, pressure, torque, dimensional, electrical, RF, and fiber optic).

- Perform calibration and functional testing on temperature devices (e.g., RTDs, thermocouples, ovens, and chambers), including oven surveys, while ensuring accurate documentation and ISO 17025 compliance.

- Troubleshoot equipment issues, generate calibration reports, and communicate results to customers.

- Safely handle and transport calibration tools while maintaining a professional customer experience.

Requirements

- High School Diploma or GED; valid driver’s license with clean record.

- Technical aptitude with calibration tools, software, and NIST-traceable standards.

- Strong attention to detail, ability to work independently, and willingness to travel.

- Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, calibration software).

Preferred

- Associate’s degree in Metrology, Electronics, or Instrumentation.

- Experience with automated calibration systems, RF test equipment, oven surveys, ISO 17025 labs, or PMEL environments.

Traveling Incentives:

- Technicians earn $2.00/hour additional pay when assigned to a project.

- Meal subsistence provided when traveling 50+ miles and away for 12+ hours.

Work Environment:

- Lab based (indoors) and Field based (outdoors)

Schedule:

- 40-hour work week

- Monday to Friday

- Overtime as needed

- Weekends as needed
