JM Test Systems is seeking a skilled and reliable Onsite Calibration Technician to perform field calibrations across a wide variety of measurement disciplines, including temperature, pressure, torque, dimensional, electrical, and RF. This role involves traveling to customer sites to perform precision calibration and testing of equipment, ensuring accuracy, safety, and compliance with industry standards.

- Travel to customer sites to perform onsite calibration and functional testing on a wide range of equipment, including:
- Temperature devices (RTDs, thermocouples, dry blocks, ovens, and chambers)
- Pressure gauges and transducers
- Torque tools (wrenches, screwdrivers, analyzers)
- Dimensional instruments (calipers, micrometers, indicators, gauge blocks)
- Electrical meters (multimeters, clamp meters, megohmmeters, power analyzers)
- RF and communications test equipment (PIM analyzers, spectrum analyzers, antenna analyzers)
- Fiber optic and cable testing equipment
- Perform oven surveys and thermal uniformity assessments in accordance with industry standards.
- Accurately record calibration data and ensure all documentation meets ISO 17025 and customer-specific requirements.
- Use calibration standards and software to conduct tests and generate certificates and reports.
- Troubleshoot and identify equipment issues or out-of-tolerance conditions, and communicate findings to customers and internal teams.
- Ensure proper handling, transport, and setup of test standards and calibration tools at customer facilities.
- Maintain professional, clear communication with customers and act as a representative of JM Test Systems in the field.
- Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized mobile work environment.
- Support internal labs with occasional in-house calibration work as needed.
- High School Diploma or GED Required
- Familiarity with nitrogen pressure testing procedures and safety practices.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, datasheets, and calibration procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Willingness to travel regularly to customer locations (local, regional, or national)
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Familiarity with calibration tools, software, and NIST-traceable standards
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, or calibration software systems).
- Associate’s degree in Metrology, Electronics, Instrumentation, or related field.
- Experience with automated calibration systems or software (such as Fluke MET/TEAM or similar).
- Experience with RF test equipment (e.g., spectrum analyzers, PIM testers, antenna/cable analyzers)
- Experience performing oven surveys and working in regulated industries (e.g., aerospace, pharma)
- Previous work in an ISO 17025 accredited lab
- Hands-on experience with mechanical and digital pressure measurement instruments.

- Technicians earn $2.00/hour additional pay when assigned to a project.
