Responsibilities: The Corrosion Specialist assists with the implementation of the various components of DGOC’s Corrosion Control programs. Special focus to be placed on: Responsible for all field activities related to corrosion control and pipeline integrity. Performs remedial actions when operational deficiencies are noted. Conduct various tests, measurements, and surveys to ensure efficient operation of pipeline and cathodic protection facilities. Collecting rectifier readings. Monitor the condition of the pipeline through pipe-to-soil potentials, visual inspection, examination of pipe coupons, field data, etc. Coordinate and schedule onsite excavation oversight / inspection for third party (line crossings). Manage inquiring phone calls related to excavation and construction and coordinate corrective actions. Completes special projects, other duties, and annual goals as assigned. The position is in DGOC’s Southern Midstream Division, Wayne District, located in the Southern West Virginia operations footprint. Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent required, Bachelors in a technical/ industry-related field preferred. NACE CP 1 or NACE recognized equivalent Minimum three (3) years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry supporting field operations. Experience with Corrosion Control process and procedures. Experience with asset data management/ work order management systems- EAM/ MAXIMO preferred Knowledge of applicable State and Federal Regulations pertaining to the Transportation of Natural Gas by Pipeline. Proficiency in the collection and interpretation of CP data. Excellent computer skills (PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Excel) Excellent verbal communication skills, including the ability to interact with individuals at all levels within the organization. Demonstrated ability to organize and interpret data, and to problem solve.
