POSITION SUMMARY:
The Corrosion Technician is responsible for all facets of field executed corrosion prevention duties including cathodic protection, internal corrosion control, atmospheric corrosion control, protective coating and linings, materials selection and design/project support. The area of responsibility for this position will be primarily West Virginia, Eastern Ohio, and Kentucky.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:* Monitors and assesses corrosion control efforts for assigned midstream assets. Performs cathodic protection surveys. Takes scheduled readings of monitoring devices. Reports findings.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:* High school diploma or GED required
PREFERRED:* CP1 cathodic protection tester certification
SKILLS:* Corrosion Control Industry Standards: Developing knowledge of and practical experience with industry standards for corrosion prevention and control from American Petroleum Institute (API), NACE (National Association of Corrosion Engineers) International, Society for Protective Coatings (SSPC) and related organizations.
