POSITION OVERVIEW – Offshore Construction Decommissioning Supervisor
Provides company representation during contractor project planning activities. Provides company representation during project execution to ensure that all decommissioning activities are executed safely, cost effectively and to contractor’s plans/procedures. Provides feedback from the field on contractor’s performance.
- Reviews the decommissioning plans and work packs for safety, quality and efficiency.
- Assist PM/CM contractor in obtaining project documentation (drawings, PIDs, etc.) for project planning
- Attends planning meetings with PM/CM contractor, Lift Boat/Vessel inspections, project site visits and any other planning activities as needed.
- Onsite Activities
- Consistent visibility at work fronts / engaged discussions with work crews / Presence & engagement in all Safety meeting
- Onsite Point of Contact for PM/CM contractor
- Maintains company Cost tracker and logs daily cost for contractors managed by PM/CM contractor
- Ensures effective project closeout with PM/CM contractor and submits feedback to Houston Management team.
- Reports daily to the Project Lead/Coordinator and Decommissioning Supervisor on project status, work plans, incidents and issues.
- Ensures contractor company meets ISN green status
- Maintains daily project log and cost tracker independent of PM/CM contractor
- Coordinates vessel movements, fueling and manifest with Client’s Logistics representative (for Clients procured contractors)
- Liaison between CM/PM PIC and Supply Vessels, Lift Boat and Shore base (for Client’s procured contractors)
- Maintains company WasteTrack Spreadsheet (internal use only)
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in construction management, with a focus on decommissioning or offshore oil and gas operations.
- Comprehensive knowledge of decommissioning procedures, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to manage a diverse team.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficient in project management software and tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a challenging offshore environment and adapt to changing conditions.
- Valid offshore certifications (e.g., BOSIET, HUET) preferred.
- Ability to work in an offshore environment, including on oil platforms and vessels.
Physically fit to perform duties involving lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces.
