Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive Office Manager to oversee STAR’s administrative support functions. The ideal candidate will assist STAR’s transition to an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system and will be responsible for managing purchasing and office administrative staff, ensuring excellent internal and external communications, efficient procurement processes, and ISO-9001 certification support. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality in our operations.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Staff Management: Manage the daily activities of the buyer and office staff, including scheduling, performance evaluations, and training initiatives to enhance team capabilities and productivity, ensuring efficient operations, service delivery and expense control.
- Purchasing and Procurement: Manage supply orders, vendor relationships, and procurement processes to ensure timely availability of necessary materials and services.
- ERP Functions: Aid transition to a new enterprise resource planning (ERP) system. Utilize and administer the ERP system to optimize inventory management, purchasing processes, and related business operations.
- ISO-9001 Certification: Support the maintenance of ISO-9001 certification through documentation, internal audits, and preparation for external assessments.
- Support Operations Manager: supports management with other tasks and duties as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in office management or a similar role within a manufacturing setting.
- Understanding of ISO-9001 certification processes and requirements a plus.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
- Proficient in ERP systems and related software applications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with suppliers, vendors, and team members.
- Resource and inventory management experience as well as procurement skills and knowledge.
- Ability to analyze data and process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while performing office tasks.
- Occasionally required to lift up to 25 lbs for inventory and supply management.
