This Nuclear Principal Electrical/I&C Engineer position will be located at our St. Lucie Nuclear Plant. The qualified individual will have previous experience in Electrical/Instrumentation & Control Design engineering and will work independently to respond to station immediate needs. Individual will support station outages and may be required to support other fleet locations during outages or emergent needs. The candidate will work full time on site collaborating with other Engineers on design change projects.
Responsible for engineering tasks requiring nuclear plant engineering experience and application of engineering principles. Works independently with supervisory review and exercises judgement to make decisions. Performs complex engineering tasks that require knowledge and experience with nuclear industry standards and regulations.
• Works independently on engineering tasks with guidance as needed • Provides technical support and consultation • Applies nuclear industry standards and regulations • Supports design preparation and verification activities • Assists with station outages and emergent issues • Supports maintenance rule applicability and regulatory requirements • Collaborates with other Engineers on design change projects • Creates and updates technical drawings and documentation • May support other fleet locations during outages or emergent needs • Performs other job-related duties as assigned
• Bachelor's - Engineering • Experience: 12+ years • Nuclear Experience: 8+ years • Previous experience in Electrical/I&C Design engineering • Ability to work flexible schedules including outages
• Master's - Engineering • Certified Professional Engineer (PE) • Proficiency in AutoCAD and EDISON software • Experience with electrical calculations and analysis
Nuclear Specific Requirements: • Engineering or related experience: 12+ years • Ability to work full time on-site at St. Lucie Nuclear Plant • Knowledge of regulatory and industry standards and codes
