Eagle Well Servicing is hiring a NSC Administrator to join our team in our Blackfalds location!
Western Energy Services Corp. (Corporate) is an energy service company which provides contract drilling services through Horizon Drilling in Canada and Stoneham Drilling Corporation in the United States. In addition, Western provides well servicing through Eagle Well Servicing in Canada, and provides rental services through Aero Rental Services in Canada.
The NSC (National Safety Code) Administrator is located in the Blackfalds office, reporting directly to the Operations Superintendent as a member of the HSE & Transportation team. The NSC Administrator must be knowledgeable with federal transportation programs, policies and procedures and demonstrate that transportation compliance and safety is a priority in Eagle’s day-to-day operations. The NSC Administrator ensures that all Eagle Well Servicing NSC information is entered and maintained in a timely manner with complete accuracy and efficiency.
- Confirm NSC reports are completed and filed for reference by auditors
- Confirm that pre-trip inspections have been completed for all rig moves
- Conduct regular audits of NSC Driver Files and update NSC Drivers list
- Provided monthly summary report of audit findings to the Corporate HSE Manager
- Ensure the data entry of all pertinent NSC documents received from the field operations is entered into the HSE and Equipment systems professionally, efficiently, and in a timely manner
- Maintain all documents related to equipment maintenance and certificates
- Ensure compliance under CAOEC Driver Training Program
- Request monthly carrier profile
- Assist with other responsibilities of an administrative nature as directed by the Operations Superintendent
- Assemble and distribute relevant NSC transportation packages
- Provide the Operation Superintendent with a monthly compliance report following the re-audit of all drivers
- Provide training to office support staff who are completing logbook and equipment audits in their area
- Review employees’ 12 month annual drivers abstracts and present findings
- Assist with the quarterly registration of all Eagle and Aero Rentals vehicles in excess of 4,500 kg, and when required
- Apply, manage, and distribute federal and provincial permits
- Recommend new techniques and improvements to management and staff designed to streamline procedures and produce cost savings
- Other duties as required
- Grade 12 graduate with preference given to those with some post-secondary education in a related field
- Understanding of logbook compliance and National Safety Code an asset
- Understanding of equipment tracking systems as required by NSC audit
- 1-3 years minimum of data entry experience, preferably in the oilfield services industry-
- 1-3 years minimum in a HSE or NSC administrative role
- Experience with ISNetworld and Complyworks and other registries an asset
- Experience working with transportation compliance software an asset
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, in particular Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Overtime may be required on occasion, based on activity levels
