PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Responsible for the planning, designing, implementation, and monitoring of server & network infrastructure hardware and software, LAN, WAN, and Host based inter-networking.
•Provide technology support: troubleshoot, maintain, upgrade, and provide solutions to complex hardware/software problems; alert management, help desk team, and other IT groups when sensitive issues arise or a major problem is suspected; minimize client productivity loss caused by technology outages, and proactively define the infrastructure necessary for clients to meet their business needs.
•Design server and network infrastructure: plan for installation of routing and switching topologies, server hardware platforms, server and network operating systems, directory services and domains, communication protocols, and network management technologies (SNMP, Packet Traces, etc.), participate in project team activities and architectural planning sessions. Develop plans for migration and implementation for infrastructure changes.
•Ensure that systems are configured according to established department standards. Ensure that systems are reliable for performance, availability and security. Collect and compile data for reporting capacity and system compliance levels. Ensure adherence to established Service Level Agreements
•Incorporate network security standards: research, design, implement security measures to safeguard information, software, and hardware against accidental or unauthorized modification, destruction, or disclosure - based on corporate security policy. Monitor industry security sources for published vulnerabilities and evaluate the risks associated with them, along with their solutions.
•Monitor and control infrastructure performance in the areas of response, throughput and availability: proactively research and locate the necessary tools and processes to identify troublesome trends before they develop; analyze and predict trends and develop a long-range plan designed to resolve problems and prevent them from recurring; participate in capacity planning; maintain high service levels for the user community, and establish a method to easily compare the installation performance against established performance objectives.
•Participate in after-hours on-call support. Available for after-hours on-call 24x7 support.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
•5-7 years prior experience in supporting IT & Network Infrastructure.
•Working knowledge of the day-to-day practices, procedures, methods and routines of: TCP/IP, Sub-Netting, and LAN/WAN Switching and Routing architectures, Virtual System Architectures.
•Working knowledge of RedHat Linux Operating System, Microsoft Windows Server Operating System, CISCO Switching and routing technologies, Security techniques and technologies including Firewalling and System Patching.
•Ability to research and test new technologies and processes.
•Establish standards and procedures for best practices, enabling commitments to established SLA’s.
•Demonstrated ability to develop creative solutions to complex problems.
•Create and support department process documentation.
•Work independently and within a team, skillfully react to a fluid and constantly changing work environment.
•Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment, and communicate the status of various systems to management and/or support personnel.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
The base salary for this position is $60,500 – $90,000.
This job posting contains a pay range, which represents the range of pay that National Fuel believes, in good faith, at the time of this posting that it might be willing to pay for the posted job. The specific base pay offered to a successful applicant will be based primarily on relevant professional experience. Other components that may be considered include: individual qualifications, licensures, industry specific experience, education and market demands for specialized skills. The pay range is subject to change at any time based on various internal and external factors. Exempt positions will also be eligible for an Annual Cash Bonus Plan.
