Responsibilities include:
•Oversee and guide network team, ensuring adherence to best practices and organizational policies.
•Develop and maintain documentation and policies for network operations and security.
•Deploy, install, and configure network security-related hardware such as firewalls, switches, routers, IPS, and monitoring systems.
•Monitor and troubleshoot network performance to ensure high availability and security.
•Implement and oversee network security measures, including firewall rules, VPN configurations, and access control policies.
•Collaborate with IT teams to support Linux and Windows environments, ensuring seamless integration with network infrastructure.
•Lead network-related projects, including planning, execution, and documentation.
•Provide technical expertise in designing and improving network architecture based on industry best practices.
•Conduct network assessments, performance tuning, and capacity planning to support future growth.
•Provide training, mentorship, and support to network engineers and IT staff.
•Design, build, implement, and test greenfield lab and production network solutions.
•Plan, implement, and test network expansions and changes.
•Develop project proposals, designs, and implementation plans, including timelines and cost projections.
•Write functional requirements and specifications documents for network projects.
•Perform network maintenance activities, including hardware upgrades, IOS updates, and routing configuration modifications.
•Review and develop MOPs (Method of Procedures) for network change management.
•Develop and maintain Network ODR (Operations Design Requirement) documents for record-keeping and archives.
•Perform network troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve complex issues.
•Develop and implement network acceptance test plans for new builds.
•Conduct network modeling, analysis, and planning.
Qualifications:
•7 years of experience with enterprise networking, 10 years preferred.
•Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Master’s degree preferred.
•Proficient at an expert level with IT infrastructure, server re-engineering, and hardware migration.
•Strong expertise in Palo Alto firewalls, Aruba ClearPass, ProCurve switches, and Aruba wireless networks.
•Solid understanding of network security principles, firewall policies, VPNs, and authentication protocols.
•Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems in a networked environment.
•Proficiency in routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), VLAN configuration, and Layer 2/3 switching.
•Ability to diagnose and resolve complex network performance and security issues.
•Familiarity with network monitoring tools, logging, and troubleshooting methodologies.
•Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize and execute tasks effectively.
•Excellent communication and documentation skills for collaborating with all stakeholders.
•Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment.
•Expertise with SNMP and NetFlow-based network monitoring and management.
•Expertise with infrastructure cabling and premise guideline specifications.
•Industry certifications such as PCNSE (Palo Alto), Aruba ACMP/ACSP, or CCNP are a plus.
The Authority may accept an equivalent combination of education and experience to meet the requirements
