N.C. Machinist - Trainee

Velan Valves has been proud to be part of the Williston community since 1978. As part of Velan North America, we manufacture valves for military, nuclear, and specialized commercial applications.

We are currently seeking qualified individual to join our team as NC Machinist - Trainee on the 1st shift.

The NC Machinist - Trainee embarks on a 12 to 15 month on the job training program to become a NC Machinist A . The NC Machinist is responsible for performing training on all turning, milling, boring, and threading operations on multi-axis (2/3 axis or 4/5 axis) NC equipment in an acceptable manner within drawing tolerances while meeting production standards. This is a fantastic opportunity to become a Machinist!

NC Machinists work from production orders, QCIs, drawings, and written instructions and may be asked to work a variety of machines.

NC Machinist - Trainee Job requirements:

- High school diploma or GED

- Strong knowledge of shop math
