Position

Multi-Skilled Operator, Nunavut

Location and Reporting Structure

Reporting to the Supervisor, Warehouse this position will be a fly in- fly out 3x3 rotation based in Nunavut, Canada.

Responsibilities

· Handle materials using equipment such as container stackers, telehandlers, and forklifts, following all safety protocols;

· Unload inbound shipments, move materials to designated storage locations, and securely load materials onto vehicles for delivery, ensuring proper strapping and slinging;

· Operate various types of loading/unloading and ground support equipment efficiently and safely, even in extreme weather conditions;

· Conduct routine equipment inspections, including pre-start checks and pre/post usage assessments, to ensure operability and identify any damages or unserviceable conditions;

· Monitor performance, report issues, and maintain equipment in a clean and functional state;

· Promptly report any incidents, damages, violations, or acts that may impact safety, security, or the company's reputation;

· Engage in safety training, drills, and adhere to all safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment;

· Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area, including proper care of all tools and equipment; and

· Perform additional tasks as required, including general warehouse duties, when not operating equipment.

Desired Competencies and Requirements

· Four (4) years’ experience operating various equipment in a warehouse environment (mining or related industry preferred);

· High school diploma or equivalent required;

· Valid Drivers License, Forklift and Telehandler certification required; and

· Container Stacker certificate is an asset.

Compensation and Benefits

For informational purposes, the estimated annual earnings are $101,972.00 for 2184 scheduled hours (combined regular hourly rate of $37 and overtime rate of $55.5) in a work year.
