- Own the entry, accuracy, and maintenance of master item data and attributes (e.g., specifications, make vs. buy status, lead times, inspection requirements, phantom status, etc.).
- Deep knowledge of the ERP systems often coordinating with finance, manufacturing, engineering, and purchasing to validate and update data as needed.
- Decide make vs. buy status for all items with the assistance of others as needed.
- Maintain proper routing of make items, ensuring correct sequence, resource allocation, and compliance with engineering changes.
- Partner with finance to ensure master item data is accurate for cost control, compliance (SOX, GAAP), and business analytics, confirming accurate standard costing has been updated prior to releasing new items into planning.
- Reconcile planned vs. applied hours applied to completed work orders with manufacturing on a regular basis. Address variances with corrective updates.
- Manage HTS/ECN classifications for international sales orders.
- Support subcontract requirements in coordination with the planning team.
- Review BOMs before release to the ERP and reconcile them with engineering when necessary, ensuring accuracy for Production Scheduler/Planners.
- Assist project and sales teams with costing and quotation requests.
- Ensure effective cross-departmental collaboration to process customer orders seamlessly.
- Represent NOV professionally in all communications and external interactions.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, HSE standards, and support process requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
- High school diploma or GED, some college preferred.
- 2+ years of previous experience in project management, production control, planning, purchasing or manufacturing preferred.- A firm understanding of blueprints, machining, fabrication, and raw materials is preferable.
- An understanding of ERP/MRP planning system operation and function.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite required (Excel, Teams, Word), Oracle ERP knowledge a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
