Position Overview: The MOV Engineer must be able to work independently with minimal supervision and have the requisite technical skills noted in the remainder of this job description. In addition, the MOV Engineer is primarily responsible for performing MOV sizing calculations, troubleshooting and analysis of diagnostic tests.
1. Develop MOV procedures guidelines and datasheets.
2. Analize diagnostic tests and prescribe repairs.
1. The employee and co-worker personal safety as well as plant equipment.
2. Recognizing and recommending needed repairs.
3. First time quality.
4. Conducting the above listed functions within the procedural parameters set forth by the customer/contractor and industry standard.
5. Successful completion of site/contractor general training requirements.
6. Documentation of repair, testing, and assembly activities.
7. The active use of human performance tools such as REC, two-minute rule, ALARA, etc.
As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team:
1. BS degree in mechanical engineering is desired.
2. Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
3. 5 years work experience in diagnostic testing as well as motor operated valve and actuator maintenance with at least 3 years nuclear experience in valve maintenance.
4. Experience in developing MOV procedures, guidelines and data sheets is preferred.
5. Navy nuclear background with maintenance and/or mechanical responsibilities in reactor plant operations a plus.
1. Pass and maintain fitness for duty requirements.
2. Satisfactory performance rating for all previous with NNI.
3. Familiarity with MOV programs in the nuclear industry.
