- Provides less complex engineering services, under direct supervision, to the operations and maintenance departments of a generating station. Also provides support for the operations and maintenance departments and staff. Entry level position for new engineers who are expected to familiarize themselves with overall generating station operation.
- Provide engineering assistance for safe, reliable, and economic operation of generating units.
- Assists in the coordination, execution, and support of equipment performance tests.
- Assists with providing or performing occasional capital or construction engineering services for generating plant equipment and processes.
- Attend and assist in generating unit start-up, shut-downs, and other significant events occurring at various time periods and extended durations on an as needed basis.
- Assists in the monitoring, trending, and diagnosis of station controllable loss parameters and recommends remedial measures to operations or maintenance.
- Provide administrative departmental assistance including procurement of materials and services, work identification and planning, budget preparation and reporting, training and development of employees, and safety and operational procedural updates.
- Provide effective technical communications in and across departments by attendance of meetings and presentations, submittal of reports, and other correspondence as required.
- Prepare monthly or other reports to include GADS, performance, progress, and inspection reports.
