The Motor Technician will inspect, analyze, test, measure, repair and perform full or partial overhauls on assemblies or subassemblies of directional motors, and other oilfield drilling components.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
•Perform entire disassembly and reassembly of equipment to pristine condition and ensure that all tools and test equipment are fully serviceable prior to the start of repair work and are fully accounted for after each repair
•Operate overhead crane, forklift, and break-out machine effectively and safely
•Complete related documentation and record all information on Service Work Orders correctly and efficiently
•Utilize proper measuring equipment for each function
•Utilize proper tooling to execute motor maintenance
•Maintain safe, clean and organized workspace
•Maintain complete tool maintenance records as required
•Accurately report inventory consumption
•Seek appropriate approval prior for component scrap
•Assure compliance with reliability objectives, root cause analysis and corrective actions
•Some repair and maintenance of plant equipment required
•Assist with physical asset / inventory counts
•Assist with maintenance of inventory and shop supplies
•Perform other duties as assigned
