Motor Pack Technician

Total Directional is seeking a skilled and motivated PDM Motor Pack Technician to join our collaborative team. This role plays a critical part in the assembly and servicing of downhole drilling tools (mud motors), ensuring precision, safety, and reliability in every build.

Key Responsibilities

- Assemble mud motor bearing packs in accordance with Total Directional’s standard operating procedures

- Maintain accurate service records and ensure all documentation is complete and compliant

- Operate and maintain motor shop equipment including lathes, vices, gauges, calipers, and specialized tooling

- Collaborate with technicians and supervisors to troubleshoot equipment and minimize downtime

- Follow technical service manuals and verbal/written instructions with precision

- Uphold safety standards and company policies in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Required Knowledge & Skills

- Proficient in using C-mics, calipers, T-gauges, and other precision measurement tools

- Strong written communication skills and attention to detail in documentation

- Experience operating cranes, forklifts, and front-end loaders

- Hands-on experience assembling mud motor bearing packs using motor shop equipment

- Solid understanding of downhole drilling motors, their components, and service procedures

- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and work instructions

- Mechanically inclined with a proactive approach to troubleshooting

- Knowledge of safety principles and ability to identify and report unsafe conditions

- Effective verbal and interpersonal communication skills

- Reliable transportation is required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
