Mobile Equipment Operator – Starting at $22.55/hour
MATALCO Kentucky – We're on the move here in Franklin, KY, in need of a new person to join our existing Yard Team. In this role you will operate mobile equipment to receive and unload raw materials as well as load outgoing materials being shipped to our customers. The current work schedule is Monday-Friday days.

Key Responsibilities
•Unload raw materials from all incoming trucks, receiving paperwork and verifying correct aluminum alloy is received
•Upgrade or downgrade aluminum received based upon alloy composition
•Inspect, analyze, and verify all incoming raw material, according to industry standards, storing in appropriate bin locations utilizing various types of mobile equipment for (furnace) charging team to melt
•Identify and report deviations, discrepancies, or non-conforming material based upon departmental procedures so that corrections or adjustments to pricing or purchase orders can be made by our Purchasing Team
•Comply with all safety rules, company practices and procedures and participate with safe work practices
•Properly and accurately load outbound trailers with appropriate products
Qualifications
•High school diploma or equivalent
•One year light industrial or warehousing experience in a fast-paced environment
•One year of various types of mobile equipment experience including forklift, skid loader, pay loader, and semi-tractor
•Basic math and computer/data entry skills
•Good communication skills and attention to detail
•Reliable and dependable attendance and work history
•Ability to identify various types and grades of aluminum alloys and scrap
Environment and Physical Demands
•Year-round exposure to outside conditions, including inclement weather
•Exposures with the plant building, including loud noise, dust, and fumes
•Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs.
•High frequency of forklift, mobile and/or semi-tractor/trailer equipment usage
•Regularly standing, walking, talking, sitting, and hearing
•Frequent bending, pushing, pulling, climbing over four feet
•Specific vision abilities that include close up, distance, color, depth, peripheral
•Hand, finger, and feet usage to operate equipment
