Foundry Sand Mixer

Summary: Under the supervision of the Mold/Core Department Supervisor, the Sand Mixer is responsible for properly preparing green sand for distribution to molding centers. Education/Equivalent:

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or touch and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach above shoulders. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and use foot/feet to operate machine. The employee is regularly required to lift and/or move items that weigh up to 20lbs, frequently required to lift items that weigh up to 50lbs pounds and occasionally required to lift items that weigh up to 100 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee frequently works on elevated work platforms and is frequently exposed to vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
