Foran Mining Corporation (TSX:FOM) is a forward-thinking mining company redefining the industry. We are seeking multiple Miner 1 – Development Miners to join our growing McIlvenna Bay team. This is a full-time position based at the McIlvenna Bay site working either a 7/7 or 14/14 rotation.

As part of the Underground Development Team, the Miner 1 – Development Miner is responsible for creating and expanding the infrastructure within the mine, preparing it for production. Development miners work in the early stages of mining operations and focus on excavating tunnels, drifts, and ramps to access ore bodies and establish new mining areas.

Job Responsibilities:
•Excavate and construct access tunnels, drifts, and ramps using appropriate mining equipment and techniques.
•Install ground support systems (rock bolts, mesh, shotcrete) to stabilize tunnel walls and ceilings.
•Conduct drilling and blasting operations using controlled explosives to access ore bodies.
•Set up and maintain ventilation systems to ensure airflow and remove harmful gases.
•Follow all safety protocols to ensure a secure environment for current and future operations.
•Collaborate with geologists and engineers to align development work with geological data and plans.
•Inspect, maintain, and operate development equipment to ensure safe and efficient performance.
•Coordinate with mine site personnel to ensure smooth execution of development activities.
•Adhere to engineering plans and regulatory requirements for responsible mine development.
•Maintain accurate records of progress, ground support, drilling, and blasting activities.
•Identify and support continuous improvement opportunities in development techniques and technology.
•Follow sustainable practices and environmental regulations to reduce development impact.
Job Qualifications and Skills:
•Minimum Grade 12 diploma or GED or a combination of education with a minimum of 8 years underground work experience.
•5+ years of experience as a Development Miner in a hard rock setting.
•Proven skills in excavation, tunneling, drilling, and blasting.
•Experience installing ground support systems (rock bolts, mesh, shotcrete).
•Team player with a strong commitment to safety and promoting a safety-first culture.
•Familiarity with operating mining equipment, such as jumbo drills, mechanized bolters, LHD machines, scissor trucks and haul trucks.
•Ability to obtain a Blasting certification or license, in accordance with local and national regulations.
•Preference will be given to those either located near our McIlvenna Bay site and those in the province of Saskatchewan.
Compensation and Benefits:
Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
•Competitive Hourly Rate: $58.23 - $87.16/hr which includes a target-based monthly bonus.
