Golden Vertex Corp is a mining company based in Bullhead City, AZ, specializing in gold extraction. Golden Vertex was recently acquired by Mako-US Corp and is under new management. The Company operates the Moss Mine located in Mohave County in northwestern Arizona, approximately a one hour and a half drive south of Las Vegas, Nevada. Golden Vertex Corp is currently seeking a qualified person for the position of Mine Engineer for our Moss Mine project.
The Mine Engineer will be responsible for developing and implementing short-term (daily/weekly) mine plans, designing drill patterns, and coordinating with key departments to ensure efficient and safe mining operations. This role is ideal for an early-career professional (1–3 years’ experience) seeking to gain hands-on exposure to mine engineering, planning, and production activities.
- Design, optimize, and update drill and blast patterns in alignment with production targets and safety standards.
- Monitor drilling and blasting performance to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Prepare and execute daily and weekly mine plans for production areas.
- Collaborate with operations teams to implement plans efficiently.
- Track progress against production schedules and adjust plans as required.
- Work closely with Mine Operations to ensure plans are clearly communicated and executed.
- Liaise with Ore Control to ensure proper ore–waste delineation and minimize dilution.
- Coordinate with Survey team for accurate mapping, staking, and reconciliation of mined areas.
- Collect, analyze, and report operational data (drilling, blasting, production).
- Support reconciliation of plan vs. actual production and grade performance.
- Ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of mine design and processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering or related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in open-pit preferred.
- Familiarity with mining software (e.g., MineSight, Vulcan, Surpac, Deswik, or similar).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

- Must be a U.S. Citizen or I-9 compliant and able to legally work inside of the United States.
