As our fixed maintenance mechanic, you will maintain all process-related systems and equipment including grinding mills, conveyor systems, and flotation circuits to keep our production going and our profitability up. Every day you will work at a mine on a remote island about 18 miles outside of Juneau, Alaska. You'll start every job with safety first by inspecting your workplace, and then perform safe and efficient project planning, parts requisitions, job set up, and layout your work. To thrive in this role, you must be able to maintain all process-related systems and equipment including grinding mills, conveyor systems, flotation circuits, pumps, pressure filters, hydraulic systems, air compressors, water treatment, ship loader and batch plant facilities. We're on a remote island, you must know how to work independently.
The Greens Creek Mine, located on Admiralty Island 18 miles south of Juneau, is an underground polymetallic mine operating since 1989, employing over 500 people.
