Job Summary
Our Edmonton branch is currently seeking a Journeyman Millwright to join our dynamic Services Team. We are looking for skilled, experienced, and highly motivated professionals with a strong work ethic who thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. This role may involve some travel as part of service operations.
At this time, we are only accepting applications from candidates with a Millwright Journeyman Certificate. Apprentice positions are not being considered
Main Responsibilities:
•Alignments, maintenance, repair, service, and inspection of fixed rotating equipment
•Proficient in the use of machining tools, hand tools, power tools, and precision measurement tools
•Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of mechanical equipment.
•Assemble machinery and commission start-up support.
•Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and manuals.
•Shutdown service support and asset rebuilds.
•Keep work area and equipment in a safe, clean, and orderly condition.
•Perform duties and operate equipment in a safe and satisfactory manner.
•Safely operate mobile equipment and hoisting devices when necessary
•Complete all jobs in a timely manner.
•Able to work individually or in larger group atmospheres.
•Mentor apprentices through their professional development
Job Requirement
•Completion of high school and or post-secondary education
•Millwright Journeyman Certificate (mandatory)
•5 or more years’ experience. Basic experience with rigging equipment
Skills and Abilities
•Must be able to work with minimal direction.
•Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
•Willingness and ability to work overtime.
•Willingness to travel and work shiftwork.
•Leadership experiences an asset.
•Experience working on a multi-trade crew.
•Provide Drivers Abstract
•Ability to pass pre-access and post-incident drug and Alcohol test
