Summary

As an Estimator at Carpentry & Millwork, Inc., you will play a vital role in assessing project costs and developing estimates that guide our construction efforts. Responsibilities

Prepare detailed cost estimates for various construction projects based on blueprints and specifications.

Analyze project requirements to develop accurate pricing strategies.

Collaborate with project managers to ensure estimates align with budgetary constraints.

Negotiate contracts with vendors and subcontractors to secure favorable terms.

•

Monitor costs throughout the project lifecycle to ensure adherence to budget.

•

Utilize estimating software such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid for efficiency and accuracy.

•

Conduct site visits to assess conditions that may impact project costs.

•

Maintain organized records of estimates, contracts, and correspondence.

Qualifications

•

Proven experience in construction estimating or a related field.

•

Strong knowledge of construction processes and materials.

•

Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

•

Familiarity with estimating software like Bluebeam or HeavyBid is preferred.

•

Strong negotiation skills to manage contracts effectively.
