PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
•Perform complex welding operations (MIG) on a variety of materials.
•Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols.
•Conduct inspections and ensure welds meet quality and code standards.
•Set up and operate welding equipment and tools.
•Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used.
•Adhere to safety regulations and company policies.
FACILITY/GROUP SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
•Work under the direction of the supervisor to move Wind Towers, Set up MIG Welders.
•Follow and complete daily build schedule.
•Weld, grind and repair each Wind Tower section prior to presenting to Quality Inspectors.
•Clamp, grind, tack-weld, or bolt components into position before welding.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
•High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
•Minimum 5 years of welding experience in industrial or manufacturing environments.
•Proficient in multiple welding techniques and procedures.
•Ability to read blueprints and welding specifications.
•Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
•Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials and work in various positions.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
•Physically demanding industrial setting involving exposure to heat, noise, and heavy machinery.
•Frequent use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) including welding helmet, gloves, and protective clothing.
•Standing, bending, and lifting for extended periods; occasional work in confined spaces or elevated platforms.
