The role of the Methods Analyst is to take ownership of the manufacturing methods involved in developing products. The Methods Analyst will work independently and with a cross-functional team to ensure the most robust, easy to manufacture, and high-quality products are maintained to surpass customer expectations. The products are part of the overall goal to grow market share, improve productivity, and enhance bottom line contribution.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures including Health, Safety and Quality Assurance policies.
- Report injuries, accidents, near misses or unsafe conditions to a Supervisor or Manager immediately.
- Analyze customer specifications and performance requirements to determine methods that can be produced by existing or new manufacturing or processing facilities and methods.
- Will provide technical information concerning manufacturing or processing techniques, materials, properties and process advantages and limitations which affect long-range plant and product manufacturing.
- Develop and maintain methods, part numbers in EPICOR system.
- Create methods and/or part numbers for new manufactured or existing parts.
- Coordinate with QA on Tier 3 contract reviews and ITP’s.
- Verify existing parts have methods. If not, create a method and verify the most efficient way of producing the part.
- Manage NCR & RMA jobs relative to manufacturing methods.
- Interface with Sales and Operations on resolving issues.
- Manage the jobs in the workbench to ensure methods are released in a timely manner.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- 2 or more years of experience and/or training in a regulated industry with 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing or machining environment preferred; background in fasteners or similar industry preferred
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); Associate degree in a technical discipline or bachelor’s degree preferred
- Ability to pass a basic reading, math, measurement, parts matching and counting test
- Able to read, understand, interpret and follow detailed work instructions and manufacturing specifications
- Ability to adjust to changes without compromising Quality or Performance
- Must be able to work a shift schedule and overtime as needed, including weekends
