Buck Company, located in Quarryville, PA, is searching for a motivated, dependable, and ambitious individual to join our team as Metal Pourer on 1st shift. This position requires the operation of hand-controlled mechanisms to pour and regulate the flow of various types of molten metal into molds to produce castings.

Responsibilities:

•

Will operate ladles and handheld controlled mechanisms to pour and regulate the flow of molten metal into sand molds to produce castings.

•

Skim slag or remove excess metal from equipment using hand tools.

•

Transports molten metal from furnaces to molds.

•

Accurately read temperature gauges.

•

Collect samples and/or signal workers to sample metal for analysis.

COMPETENCIES:

•

HS Diploma or equivalent required

•

Must be able to efficiently work within a team-based environment

•

Must have the ability to comprehend instructions and accept coaching and mentoring techniques

•

Must possess excellent time management skills

•

Ability to safely and successfully perform job functions consistent with Buck Company safety Policy

•

Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance

•

Must be able to stand for long periods of time in a non-climate-controlled environment

•

Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively to all team members

•

Be able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

•

Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical capabilities test
