Mine Cable Services Medium/High Voltage Cable Repair Technician

We are seeking a hardworking, detail-orientated individual join our team as a Cable Repair Technician in Edmonton, AB. High attention to detail, mathematic accuracy and meticulous craftmanship is required to ensure quality of cable repairs. Cable Repair Technicians must be willing to travel for work periodically. Mine Cable Service will train Cable Repair Technicians in the following:

- Cable fault location and repairing of mining reeling cables of various sizes and voltages using a variety of techniques and materials

- Vulcanized Splice or Cable Vulcanizing Oven

- Various phase - jacket repairs

- Terminations

- Assembly and/or installation of couplers onto cable, Assemble/Repair of junction boxes

- Testing of couplers and junction boxes - Occasional cable repair involving travel to customer site

Additional Information:

- Scheduled hours of work: 7am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday, some travel required

- Must be able to lift up to 75lbs

- Ability to read, write and speak English

- Mechanically inclined and able to use various hand tools or willing to learn

- Must be able to pass pre-access drug and alcohol testing

- Previous experience or training an asset
