Mechanical Parts Coordinator

Overview:

Initiates, prepares, processes, and verifies request for quotes, purchase orders and change orders following established guidelines to for the purchase of materials and services by required delivery dates. Interacts with approved supplier partners to obtain favorable pricing terms, product specifications, monitor availability, and optimize savings. Expedites delayed orders and resolves issues with changes, returns, replacements, and credit arrangements.

Responsibilities:

- This is a field office position that requires eight-hour (8) dayson a 5/2 schedule along with after hour call out and some weekends.

- While performing the duties of this field office job, the individual may be regularly required to sit, stand, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hand and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and keyboard.

- Assist with the processing of stock replenishment orders.

- Review and analyze material and service purchase requirements submitted on purchase requisitions and place orders.

- Conduct research as necessary to identify correct purchase source.

- Prepare and issue purchase orders to approved suppliers.

- Monitor purchase acknowledgements and take appropriate action to resolve and/or escalate based on information received.

- Assists Procurement lead with purchasing issues such as expediting delayed deliveries, researching part discrepancies, researching receiving and/or pricing issues, and assisting with the resolution of invoice matching issues.

- File supporting transactional purchasing documentation; assist Procurement lead with filing.

- Perform related procurement activities as assigned.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or GED required.

- 1 year experience as a purchasing or procurement assistant.
