Responsibilities

- Assist in devising and overseeing any tests required to demonstrate proof of concept or functionality and the generation of applicable schematics and reports;

- Assist the mechanical manufacturing team in the review of engineering drawings and designs;

- Assist with the engineering deparment mechanical assemblies;

- Assist and facilitate training for assigned technicians in the field of composite structures fabrication; and

- Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications and Experience

- Current enrollment in a postsecondary institution in a Mechanical Engineering program, Aircraft Maintenance program, or similar related discipline;

- Eligible to hold an ACA within SGL's Aircraft Maintenance Department, an asset;

- Experience in composite manufacturing and assemblies;

- Experience and/or exposure to welding structures manufacturing and assemblies;

- Experience with geophysical survey equipment an asset;

- Demonstrated ability to work independently;

- Proficient organizational skills;

- Competent report writing ability; and

- Familiarity with CAD principles and techniques for technical drawings.
