As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key leadership role in advancing our mechanical engineering discipline. You will provide technical expertise, project oversight, and mentorship while driving innovation and ensuring excellence in project delivery. At higher levels, this role also involves project coordination, shaping engineering strategies, and guiding stakeholder engagement.
- Perform equipment sizing & selection, alternative analyses, and other deliverables
- Support the engineering, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning of facilities
- Present engineering and design deliverables to project members, cross-functional teams, senior leadership, external vendors, clients, and other stakeholders
- Plan, forecast, and actualize deliverable progress to support project reporting and schedule requirements
- Identify scope changes and estimate impact to effort and schedule
- Prepares, reviews, and approves mechanical equipment and piping calculations, requisitions, lists, studies, reports, BOMs, and designs
- Support proposal efforts by evaluating RFP scope, identifying list of deliverables, and estimating effort required
- Participate in project scoping, estimation, and implementation
- Lead in a senior role, providing strategic direction, technical oversight, and mentorship to the mechanical engineering discipline
- Work is highly independent

- Monitor progress and performance against the project plan
- Provide input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility
- Participate in stakeholder management, Fit/Gap analysis, and needs analysis
- Lead at the highest discipline level, managing the mechanical engineering team, overseeing design and execution of projects, and providing expertise and guidance
- Work Autonomously- 4 - 10+ years of experience, depending on the level of the position
- Bachelor's degree in engineering required
- Professional Engineer licensure preferred
- Extensive knowledge and experience in mechanical engineering principles and practices
- Advanced proficiency in mechanical engineering software and tools
- Ability to interpret and create technical drawings, layouts, and specifications
- Strong knowledge of industry codes, regulations, and best practices
- Ability to develop and implement mechanical engineering standards and guidelines
- Excellent facilitation, communication, and analytical skills - written and verbal
