SUMMARY: In this role, the employee is expected to schedule, supervise and manage all mechanical assembly resources on site to ensure that daily goals and objectives are met.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Serves as first-line supervisor directing, instructing and coordinating a variety of installation tasks associated with the manufacturing of power generation units and other equipment.
•Develops daily/weekly production plans and alters as necessary.
•Monitors employee/team performance against stated goals and objectives on a near-hourly basis.
•Understands and reports status of daily and weekly production plans using clear and concise communication.
•Supervises and is present for large/complex efforts and uses their expertise to guide the activity when necessary
•Lead and support the development and training of staff.
•Works in coordination with team lead(s) to manage the daily operations of assigned employee(s), ensuring overall quality, productivity, and policy / contract adherence.
•Supports employee(s) by answering questions and assisting where needed.
•Provides feedback to management regarding employee/team performance
•Achieves required safety, quality, delivery and performance levels through effective communication, management and leadership
•Attends daily production meetings.
•Owns customer satisfaction with everything under your direction.
•Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
•Responsibilities include interviewing, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
QUALIFICATIONS:
•3-5 years experience or related experience
•One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. High School Degree or equivalent preferred.
•Able to work with teams and communicate clearly with team leaders and team members.
