Liftsafe Group of Companies is a privately owned company that designs, builds, inspects and maintains lifting, material handling, and fall protection systems equipment.
The purpose of Mechanical Assembler is to support our in-house fabrication team by accurately assembling mechanical components and equipment. This position contributes to efficient production, quality workmanship, and the overall growth of the company by performing assembly tasks safely, effectively, and to established standards.
- Assembly of mechanical components.
- Organize materials & tools required.
- Plan and organize build sequence to meet orders.
- Communicate assembly progress to Operations team.
- Identify and report material shortages promptly to Project and Fabrication Operations Managers.
- Implement lean manufacturing techniques based on direction from VP operations.
- Operate shop machinery safely and in compliance with company procedures.
- Accurately fulfill internal cut-to-length orders from provided cut lists.
- Demonstrates the ability or willingness to learn and perform wet painting to industrial quality standards.
- Use company vehicles to expedite materials and deliver product as required.
- Performs other duties as required.

- Ensure the proper operation and maintenance of all shop equipment.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Experience in reading, interpreting and understanding shop blueprints.
- Have good mechanical aptitude.
- Demonstrate quality workmanship.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Project management experience and/or a suitable college diploma.
- Demonstrated teamwork skills.
- Proven problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to safely run shop machinery.
- Clean drivers abstract for using company vehicle.
