This position is located in Hackberry, LA.Employees’ primary residence must be located within a one-hour drive from the Hackberry plant site. This measure will assure that response time for callouts is kept to a minimum, which increases the safety of our employees in an unexpected or emergent situation.
Transportation Worker Identification Credentials (TWIC) is required.
- Performs fixed, fired, marine, and rotating equipment maintenance activities
- Solves maintenance, and reliability problems as it relates to maintaining the plant equipment, via repairs, modifications, or replacements of equipment
- Performs preventive maintenance activities
- Interfaces with supervisor, operations, and engineering, or other departments as needed to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective maintenance and facility operation.
- Provides and records feedback for maintenance records
- Participates in emergency response activities as job and situation dictate to protect life and property
- Minimum of a high school diploma or GED
- Technical degree and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Employee with 4-5 years of Maintenance Experience or 8-10 years of Construction Experience.
- Millwright experience preferred.
- Experience on Static and Rotating equipment maintenance
- Experience in heavy industrial, petrochemical, or refining preferred
- Experience in liquefied natural gas or natural gas processing preferred
- Experience in workshop repairs
- Have good computer skills
- Possesses strong communication, work ethic and technical skills
- Able to work with a culturally diverse group of technical individuals whose skills cover the range required to engineer, operate and maintain the LNG facilities
- Able to read and interpret technical drawings and equipment manuals
- Experienced in piping systems including flange alignment and bolt-up procedures
- Knowledgeable in mechanical seals, bearings, and alignment procedures
- Must be able to stand, walk, climb, run, sit, kneel, twist, bend, pull, push, carry, lift, reach overhead and drive. Most activities involve movement of either the upper and lower body extremities or both and the joints associated with these areas of the body.
- Must be able to enter confined spaces.
- Must be able to climb stairs and ladders that ranges from 4 ft to 200 ft.
- Must be able to lift equipment needed to perform work.
- Must be able to wear safety equipment such as safety harness, respirator and other protective equipment as needed to perform job.
- Must be willing to be on call, work overtime as required and handle emergency response responsibilities.
- Must be willing to travel for trainings as required.
