We are looking for a skilled Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of construction equipment, commercial vehicles, and trailers while ensuring that all machinery operates efficiently and safely. Your expertise will directly contribute to the reliability and performance of our fleet, supporting our commitment to excellence in the construction industry.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to)
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.
· Performs preventive and corrective maintenance and repairs on a variety of vehicles and heavy equipment
· Ability to perform a variety of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic adjustments and repairs on gasoline and diesel-powered vehicles and heavy construction equipment
· Ability to diagnose problems and make the appropriate adjustments, repairs, or replacements to electrical, hydraulic, engine, transmission, drive train, and mechanical systems
· Ability to use a variety of tools including but not limited to personal tools, common shop hand tools, hoist or crane equipment, grinders, welders, power tools, precision mechanic tools
· Maintain a clean and organized work environment
· Adhere to safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe work environment.
· Provide updates to management on all repairs and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
· Complete and maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance and parts inventory
1. Have and maintain a minimum Class C Drivers License, however a Class A and/or B CDL is preferred
2. Must be able to successfully pass a Pre-Employment Drug/Alcohol Screening and continue to successfully pass with any random screenings for duration of employment with LBI
3. Minimum of 5 years experience as a mechanic, specifically in construction equipment and commercial vehicles
4. Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals

· Required to use motor coordination with arm, hand, finger and leg dexterity
· Required to exert physical effort in handling objects more than 75 pounds frequently.
· Requires pushing, pulling, bending, twisting and lifting.
· Normal setting for this job is outdoors or in a shop environment.
· Will be exposed to a physical environment, which involves dirt, odors, noise, and weather extremes.
· Typical work schedule consists of day time hours Monday through Friday, but may be required to work overtime, nights and or weekends. Out of Town/Overnight Travel is required periodically.
