Measurement Technician II
Summary:
Grit Oil & Gas II, LLC is seeking a skilled and reliable Measurement Technician II to join our field operations team. This role is responsible for the installation, calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of gas measurement and automation equipment across production facilities. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of industry measurement standards and be familiar with common measurement tools and systems such as FlowCal, TestIt, and ProveIt.
Responsibilities:
•Assist with the installation and maintenance of Orifice, Turbine, and Coriolis meters for accurate gas and liquid measurement
•Install, configure, and maintain SCADA systems and ensure communication with systems such as Zedi
•Perform routine gas sampling and verify measurement data integrity
•Calibrate and troubleshoot flow meters and associated instruments using FlowCal, TestIt, and ProveIt
•Conduct field diagnostics and repair of automation, instrumentation, and communication systems
•Maintain and repair compressor station equipment, including suction control valves and related automation
•Work closely with engineering, measurement, and operations teams to ensure systems meet company and regulatory standards
•Maintain detailed records of calibrations, repairs, and system modifications
•Respond to and resolve field communication failures and SCADA alarms
Requirements:
•2+ years of experience in oil and gas measurement and/or automation
•Strong working knowledge of gas measurement principles, SCADA systems, and instrumentation
•Hands-on experience with FlowCal, TestIt, and ProveIt is highly desirable
•Familiarity with Zedi or similar SCADA platforms
•Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a safety-first mindset
•Comfortable working in outdoor environments and remote field locations
•High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree in related field preferred
•Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
Work Environment:
•Field-based role with regular travel to production and compression sites
•Ability to consistently list and carry items of 50lbs or more
•Requires physical activity including climbing, lifting, and working in varied weather conditions
•May include participation in on-call rotations or extended hours during critical operations
