The Measurement & Control Technician installs, operates, and maintains natural gas measurement and regulation (M&R) equipment to ensure the safe and reliable operation of NorthWestern Energy's gas transmission and storage system which includes city gate stations, large commercial and industrial gas measurement and regulator stations, gas purchase stations, transmission compressor stations, gas storage wells, and farm taps.

- Under the general guidance of area supervision, the technician will be responsible to build, maintain, test, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair gas measurement, regulation, fire detection, gas detection, ESD, PLC, and transmission system monitoring equipment in a manner to be in compliance with applicable laws, codes, and NorthWestern Energy safety standards.
- Primary responsibility to ensure the safe and reliable operation of NorthWestern Energy's gas transmission and storage system
- Installation and maintenance of odorant systems
- Build, maintain, test, inspect, calibrate, troubleshoot, repair, and ensure the safe and reliable operation of gas transmission M&R equipment and facilities, city gate stations, and related mechanical, pneumatic and electrical control systems
- Perform grounds maintenance in compressor yard
- Present training on safety, calibration, or other topics as needed
- Respond to emergencies
- Work overtime including participating in rotation on call schedules, working evenings and weekends in response to acute service needs
- Must live withing 30 minutes of the assigned work location in Bridger, Montana
- Travel up to 10% of the time away from home area and stay overnight as needed
- Lift up to 75 pounds on occasional basis from ground to chest level
- All duties must be performed in accordance with all OSHA, DOT & NorthWestern Energy safety rules, policies & procedures

- Demonstrate and maintain a good safety record
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in gas measurement and control preferred
- Working knowledge of gas meters, pressure regulators, relief valves, RTUs, and pressure and temperature transmitters preferred
- Must be able to meet and maintain "occupational qualification" standards to ensure qualification to perform assigned tasks as specified in Title 49 CFR, Part 192
- Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record
- First Aid/CPR Certification
