We are looking for a Material Planner
Responsible for ensuring the availability of all necessary materials required to support the manufacturing process, release scheduling of inbound raw materials and components, and ensuring adequate stock levels for production requirements.
Accountabilities
- Reconcile and maintain accurate inventory numbers on CMS for all locations as per physical at all times.
- Perform and update daily the internal inventory material count.
- Co-ordinate and monitor inventory levels (including consigned material) according to production schedule.
- Lead, organize and conduct cycle and periodic physical counts with Materials Supervisor.
- Maintain and reconcile offsite (O/P) inventory including entering OP receiving and production reports.
- Audit receiving reports to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Assist the Engineering Department with maintaining accurate prototype material inventory and planning incoming prototype material and production with Materials Supervisor.
- General receiving administrations - verify all ASN’s received by Shipper/Receiver, and address discrepancies, if any.
- Manage all incoming material including planning, scheduling, and releasing with supply chain.
- Provide training to co-workers and help maintain Standard Operating Procedures, Best Practices and Job Safe Practices to ensure the transfer of knowledge to others.
- Fulfill all Health and Safety & Environmental responsibilities as identified in the HSE Management Standards, OHSAS 18001, and ISO 14001 Management Systems.
- Ensure QMS conforms to the requirements identified in IATF 16949 and AMTB Process Map.
- Fulfill all responsibilities as identified in the Employee Handbook.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Advanced Excel)
- Experience working with AS400 systems or other relevant MRP system.
- Exposure to planning both internal material flow and shipment of goods in a manufacturing environment.
- Advanced knowledge of inventory management skills and practices is required.
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- High degree of integrity
