Material Handler/Packager

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled material handler/packager to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and experience with various manufacturing processes. As a packager, you will be responsible for packaging steel slit coil and crop coil.

Responsibilities include:

- Operate a semi-automatic Fromm Strapping Head

- Matching work orders with specified material specs and packaging requirements

- Maintain equipment by performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting issues as they arise.

- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and production goals are met.

- Utilize various hand tools and knowledge applicable to the handling and warehousing of steel coils

- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.

Experience

- Proficiency in operating material handling equipment such as cranes and forklifts is preferred.

- Strong mechanical knowledge with a background in manufacturing processes.

- Looking for highly motivated individuals who are looking for long-term growth opportunities that are eager to learn and perform well in a team-based environment.

- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to production tasks.

- Experience in quality inspection processes to ensure product standards are upheld.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 80 per week
